
Mboundor Diouf defended his doctoral thesis in development economics at the University of Poitiers and the EIEA Chair (ABS-UM6P and Mines ParisTech).
He currently works at the World Bank Group as a consultant in the Development Research Group (DECRG), focusing particularly on the “Energy in Africa” initiative.
During his doctoral studies, he received extensive training in economics, mining, energy, environmental economics, spatial econometrics, and GIS during his university stays at ASU (6 months), the University of Coimbra (1 month), Friedrich Schiller University Jena (7 days), and UM6P (1 year), as well as short stays at Columbia University (5 days) and the University of Oxford (4 days). He previously earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from UCA (CERDI).
Previously, he graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s (Magister) grade at UCA (CERDI).
His research focuses on Natural Resources (Mining, Oil, and Gas), Energy Access, Sustainable Development, and Development Economics in developing countries.
His future work will focus on Energy Access, Crucial Minerals for the Energy Transition, Sustainable Development, and Climate Change.
